Equipment Salvage & Disposal

The purchase of plant and equipment from the project site is part of our turnke.

We assess the type, quality and value of all materials that can be recovered. The proceeds from the sale of reusable plant and equipment and recyclable ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be used to offset project expenditure, thereby reducing the final cost to clients.
Purchase from the client of entire plants including the associated industrial equipment is a common feature of our demolition projects. This is followed by equipment removal, demolition of steel and concrete structures and often ends with site rehabilitation.

Should you be interested in purchasing used plant or equipment, please contact our office.

Abatement & Decontamination

Abatement of toxic substances including asbestos is a common turnkey project. Jet Demolition has extensive experience in this area. Our services include turnkey radiological solutions which normally comprise hazard assessments, development of radiation control procedures, radiation monitoring and close-out reports.

We have been involved in the demolition of metallurgical plants with radiological hazards since the inception of The Council for Nuclear Safety (CNS) activity in 1993 and have demolished over 35 such plants including acid and uranium plants containing very high levels of radiation.

Specialised decontamination methods are also implemented as required. By including demolition and abatement or radiological decontamination services within one contract, we are able to reduce the cost to our clients through better utilisation of resources, improved coordination and shortened project duration, as well as providing simplified single-contract solutions to their problems.

Site Rehabilitation

Earthworks, soil excavation, civils construction and site rehabilitation including the establishment of vegetation constitute part of our turnkey service. Our experience in this area also includes reshaping and cladding of waste dumps, installation of surface and subsurface drains, as well as the provision of evaporation ponds.
